Jeannine Raulo, known professionally as Rosalie Dubois, was born on October 26, 1932, in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, and was a French singer. She studied law at the University of Paris and worked in her family's fishmonger shop to finance her education. In 1959, she won the N°1 de demain contest organized by Europe 1 with "Julie la Rousse" by René-Louis Lafforgue. The following year, she secured the Coq d'Or de la chanson française award for "Parce qu'un air d'accordéon". Her popularity grew with hits like "Cherbourg avait raison", and notable performances at venues such as Bobino and Olympia. Her career was interrupted by a severe accident and subsequent depression, but she returned to performing in 1968. She continued performing until 1992 and released her album Couleurs & vernis in 2019. She passed away on December 15, 2024, at the age of 92.
