Rajna, a French neofolk group formed in 1997, was composed of Gérard Chambellant, Fabrice Lefebvre, and Jeanne Lefebvre. Their music often featured ethereal vocals and a blend of synthesizers with ethnic instruments, drawing comparisons to Dead Can Dance. Rajna released their debut album Ishati in 1999, followed by Yahili the same year and The Heady Wine of Praise in 2001. After Chambellant's departure, Fabrice and Jeanne Lefebvre continued as a duo, releasing The Door of Serenity in 2002 and Hidden Temple in 2004. In 2005, Rajna partnered with La Maison des Himalayas to fund an Nepalese school through royalties from their album Black Tears. The group collaborated with Francesco Banchini on the project Khvarena, releasing The Spirit Rises in 2007. Notable albums include Duality (2008) and Offering (2010).
