The Mayfield Four was an American rock ensemble from Spokane established in 1996. The group was fronted by lead vocalist and guitarist Myles Kennedy and consisted of guitarist Craig Johnson, bassist Marty Meisner, and drummer Zia Uddin. They signed with the label Epic Records after producing the demo recording Thirty Two Point Five Hours (1996). Their recording career began with the live extended play Motion (1997) followed by the debut studio recording Fallout (1998). The ensemble performed on a fifteen-month tour with the ensembles Creed and Big Wreck. Johnson was removed from the group in 1999 and the ensemble released their second and final studio recording Second Skin (2001). The Mayfield Four reached wider visibility for being the ensemble Kennedy fronted prior to forming the group Alter Bridge. The ensemble became inactive in 2002.
