Wucan is a rock band from Dresden that was founded in 2011. The group combined hard and folk rock with psychedelic, doom and stoner elements and was particularly notable for the use of the flute and the distinctive voice of singer Francis Tobolsky. In addition to Tobolsky, who also played guitar, the line-up included Tim George on lead guitar, Alexander Karlisch on bass and Philip Knöfel on drums. Wucan released their debut album Sow the Wind in 2015, followed by Reap the Storm in 2017. The band released their third album Heretic Tongues in 2022, which reached number 57 in the German album charts. Their fifth album, Axioms (2025), reached number 30 in the German charts.
