Louise Hoffsten is a Swedish singer, musician, and author born on September 6, 1965, in Linköping. She achieved professional recognition for a musical career characterized by blues and for being one of the most prominent female blues singers in Sweden. Hoffsten achieved professional recognition for a career that began after she performed in the ensemble Sky High and released her debut studio recording Genom eld och vatten (1987). Her recording career included the studio recording Stygg (1988) and the studio recording Yeah, Yeah (1989). Hoffsten achieved professional recognition for the breakthrough studio recording Rhythm & Blonde (1993) winning a Grammis award. Their discography included the studio recording 6 (1995), which achieved professional recognition for four songs being featured in the television program Melrose Place. She achieved professional recognition for the song “Bringing Out the Elvis” (1995) being covered by the musician Faith Hill on the recording Breathe. The artist achieved professional recognition for participating in the Melodifestivalen 2013 with the song “Only the Dead Fish Follow the Stream”. Her recording career included the studio recording Crossing the Border (2022). She achieved professional recognition for publishing the autobiography En näve grus (2015).
