Öxxö Xööx, a French avant-garde doom metal band originating from Dieppe, Seine-Maritime, was formed in 2006 by Laurent Lunoir. The group is known for its avant-garde sound and unique language created by Lunoir. Öxxö Xööx released their debut album Rëvëürt in 2011 through Apathia Records. In 2014, the band signed with Blood Music and re-released Rëvëürt on vinyl. Their second album, Nämïdäë, was released in 2015. The group continued to evolve with the release of their third album Ÿ in 2019, followed by a fourth album + (The Opening Of The Hypercube) in 2024 under Lunoir's own label LÏNÏ MUSIC.
