Minimum Serious, a French pop-punk band from Grenoble, was active between 2000 and 2008. The group emerged from the remnants of several punk rock formations and initially released two self-produced albums, Fantastic World (2000) and Procapitalist (2002). After performing over a hundred shows across France, sharing stages with acts like Sum 41 and Lagwagon, Minimum Serious signed with Mercury Records and released their self-titled third album, produced by David Salsedo, Jimi D., and Clive Martin, in 2004. The band embarked on an extensive tour that concluded at the FrancoFolies de Montréal festival in August 2005. Their subsequent albums included Goodbye California (2006), featuring the title track, and (R)evolution (2008). Following internal tensions with their label, Minimum Serious disbanded shortly after the release of (R)evolution. Bassist Fritz passed away on December 30, 2017.
