Stuart McInnes (AKA Esdaile State) is a songwriter and producer from Glasgow, Scotland. With a diverse background in music, Stuart initially gained recognition in bands before turning his hand to writing and producing for other artists.
Since then he as had cuts with an array of artists on labels such as Sony/RCA, Warner Music, Universal Music Australia, Perfect Havoc, Spinnin' Records, Monstercat, Revealed Recordings, Soave, Disco:Wax, LoudKult, Chill Your Mind and more.
With an impressive 85 million streams across various platforms, Stuart's songs have been featured on BBC Radio 1, Capital, Kiss FM and been supported by influential industry figures including David Guetta, Tiësto, Sigala, Armin van Buuren, MistaJam, Hardwell, R3HAB, Robin Schulz, Fedde Le Grand and Sam Feldt. Additionally, Stuart's songs have been prominently featured on MTV, Love Island, UEFA Championship, BT Sport, Rocket League (Playstation/XBOX), E4 (Celebs Go Dating) and official Spotify & Apple Music playlists, including New Music Friday.
Now Stuart is entering a new phase in his career and releasing music under his own producer name, Esdaile State. Inspired by Trip Hop / Downtempo acts of the late 90’s / early 00’s including Zero 7, Air, Massive Attack, Gorillaz, Moby, DJ Shadow and Nightmares On Wax, McInnes is exploring the music genres of his childhood while giving them a modern spin.
