Magyar Posse were a Finnish post-rock band from Pori formed in 2000. The ensemble emerged from the group The Alibi of Carlos and achieved professional recognition for a musical style influenced by film composers. They released their debut studio album, We Will Carry You Over the Mountains (2002), followed by the studio recording Kings of Time (2004). The latter featured violinist Sandra Mahlamäki and reached number 17 on the national charts. It was named the Finnish album of the year by Rumba magazine. Following European tours, they released the studio recording Random Avenger (2006). The ensemble contributed to the experimental film Aldebaran Rising (2008). Following the departure of Mahlamäki in 2010, the group disbanded in 2012.
