Running away to the forest.
The leaves under your feet, the fresh air in your lungs,
and the golden light breaking through the tree canopy.
Close your eyes, and you can almost picture it.
Mila Ziska’s music will give listeners this exact feeling.
Having grown up in a family of traditional folk musicians and dancers, she draws inspiration from her musical roots as well as from Mother Nature herself, and the fragile beauty of the world around us.
The result is best described as candid Folk-Pop, enchanting audiences with delicate melodies, poetic lyrical touches, and traditional Folk influences.
Mila studied Songwriting at the acclaimed British and Irish Modern Music Institute in Berlin before recently relocating to Scotland. She has performed extensively across the UK and Europe, with appearances at festivals including Celtic Connections and Kaustinen Folk Music Festival. Her music has received radio support from BBC Introducing, BBC Ulster and Sunray FM, highlighting her as an emerging voice in the contemporary folk scene.
Mila has released a number of projects to date, including her debut EP Woodlands (2022) and her second record, 'A Long Way To Go'. Her latest project, Only Stillness (2025), a collaborative seasonal EP, was accompanied by a tour across Scotland, followed by a Germany leg in early 2026.
