Isaiah Sharkey, born July 14, 1989, in Chicago, Illinois, is an American guitarist and singer-songwriter. Raised in a musical family, he began his journey at age four, singing in a church choir. By 14, he was performing in local jazz clubs. In 2005, Sharkey released Skyliner, his debut album of jazz standards. His breakthrough came when he met D'Angelo in 2009 and toured with him for five years, contributing to the Grammy-winning Black Messiah (2014). This led to collaborations with artists like Chris Martin, Paul Simon, and Patti LaBelle. In 2016, he met guitarist John Mayer and joined him on his world tour. The following year, Sharkey released his debut solo album Love.Life.Live, followed by Love Is the Key (The Cancerian Theme) in 2019. He also collaborated with Common and Cory Henry and released the single "Stay" in 2022.
