The Bukowskies is a Belgian garage rock and indie rock band from Liège, formed in 2012. The band was founded by the vocalist Andrea Lafontaine and the guitarist Olivier Dechamps following a series of guitar lessons. The original lineup included Thomas Monjoie and Guillaume Lemaire, who were later replaced by the drummer Adrien Timmermann and the bassist Xavier Blanchart. The band also includes Florence Vandendooren. In January 2015, the band released its debut studio album, Opium, through Moonzoo Music, produced by Roland De Greef. The band performed at the Francofolies de Spa in July 2015 alongside Mario Guccio. Subsequent recordings include the studio albums Brown-Brown (2016) and the critically acclaimed Youth Crime or the Influence of.... The band’s name refers to the writer Charles Bukowski.
