Vaux, an American alternative rock band from Denver, Colorado, was formed in 1997 under the original name Eiffel. The group released their first single, "To Write A Symphony", in 1998 and gained early traction on college radio with their debut album Audiblenarcotic (2000). In 2002, due to legal reasons, they changed their name to Vaux and signed with Volcom Entertainment. Their subsequent EP On Life; Living (2002) and full-length album There Must Be Some Way To Stop Them (2003) received critical acclaim, leading to tours supporting bands like Thrice and My Chemical Romance. In 2004, Vaux signed with Atlantic Records' subsidiary Lava Records but were dropped in 2005. Despite this, they released their final album, Beyond Virtue, Beyond Vice (2006), through Outlook Music and VX Records. The band's final show was on July 28, 2007, at the Bluebird Theater in Denver.
