PANTOKRAATOR

Pantokrator is an Estonian rock band that became active in 1983. Known for blending progressive rock and folk music, the band's predecessor was an eighth-grade boys' ensemble formed by classmates Erik Sakkov, Riho Kukk, and Mait Karm at Tartu 7th Secondary School. They adopted the name Pantokrator in 1983 and gave their first concert that December. The band performed extensively across Estonia and at major festivals, including Haapsalu and Viljandi Rock. Pantokrator released its first LP, Pantokraator I, in 1990, but disbanded in 1992 following Estonia's restoration of independence. Sakkov and Lauri Saatpalu revived the group in 200, releasing Tormidesööjad in 2006 and Déjà vu in 2025.
