Blapps Posse was a British electronic music production duo formed in London, England in the late 1980s by DJ Jason Carter, known as Mad Doctor X, and Aston Harvey of the electronic group Freestylers. Active in the late 1980s and early 1990s, the duo combined house and hip hop influences with strong basslines, house breaks, and rap vocals. They released their debut single, “Don't Hold Back” (1989), through Carter's record label, Blapps! Records. The song became a club hit in both the British rave scene and the Baltimore club scene. The duo followed this success with the releases of “Don't Hold Back Remix” (1990) and “Don't Hold Back '91” (1991).
