itisLELAND (or Leland) has been playing the violin off and on since 7. After taking 4-year break from music and graduating from college, they picked up the violin again and started doing music streams on Twitch in 2017. Before becoming a Twitch musician, they have never thought of writing any original music. They became a Twitch Partner since 2019, but has stopped streaming actively since 2021 due to lack of interest.
With the encouragement of a few Twitch musician peers like Anne Dorko, they started writing originals in 2019 and came up with a few. One of which is We Know the Rules, which is a violin-only instrumental which features intricate pizzicato parts.
Their largest inspiration musically is a fellow Twitch partnered musician and good friend, ThatViolinChick.
