Confide was an American metalcore band from Anaheim, California, formed in 2004 by Aaron Van Zutphen, Jason Pickard, and Josh Plesh. Early releases included the self-released EPs Innocence Surround (2005) and Introduction (2006), establishing a deathcore foundation before transitioning to a metalcore sound. Their debut studio album, Shout the Truth, was issued by Science Records in 2008, followed by a reissue on September 8, 2009 that featured a cover of the song “Such Great Heights”. In 2010, after signing with Tragic Hero Records, the band released their second album, Recover (2010), alongside the single “Tighten It Up”, and toured the United States and internationally. Following a farewell performance on November 7, 2010 in Pomona, California, the members temporarily reunited in August 2012 to record their third album, All Is Calm, which was released on July 30, 2013. The members subsequently pursued other musical projects, including drummer Arin Ilejay, who joined Avenged Sevenfold in 2011.
