Knights of the Abyss is a deathcore band from Glendale, Arizona. It was formed in 2005 after drummer Andy Rysdam left Job for a Cowboy. The band released two early full-length albums, Juggernaut and Shades, through Siege of Amida Records and Ferret Music, with notable lineup changes across both releases and vocals contributed by artists including Phil Noriega, Dustin Hadlock, and Dustin Curtis of A Breath Before Surfacing. Their second album Shades included the track “A New Darkened Faith.” In 2010, they released their third album The Culling of Wolves via Ferret Music, preceded by the single “Deceiver’s Creed.” The band experienced multiple lineup shifts over the years, with Nick Florence remaining a key long-term member during later phases. Knights of the Abyss reunited in 2022, with original drummer Andy Rysdam returning to the lineup.
