Uniform Choice was an American hardcore punk band from Orange County, California, formed in 1982 by guitarist Myke Bates, bassist Hanson Meyer, and drummer Eric Hanna. The group initially started as Moral Sin before changing their name to Uniform Choice. Their first studio demo, Orange Peel Sessions, was recorded in September 1982 with Elliott Colla on vocals. In early 1983, Hanna and Meyer left the band, leading to a lineup change that included Pat Dubar on vocals, Pat Dyson on drums, John Lorey on bass, and Victor Maynez on guitar. This iteration of Uniform Choice released their debut album, Screaming for Change, in 1986 via Wishingwell Records. The band followed up with the albums Region of Ice (1988) and Staring Into the Sun (1988), and the live album Getting the point across (live in SF 1988) in 1996.
