Shed Seven return with their self-titled seventh studio album, out 8 January 2027, following the most successful period in their history. In 2024, the York band achieved the remarkable feat of scoring two UK Number One albums, a milestone matched by only a handful of legendary artists, including The Beatles, Elton John and Led Zeppelin. More than 30 years after their debut, they are enjoying an unprecedented creative and commercial resurgence.
Rather than looking backward, Shed Seven focus firmly on the present. Written and recorded with renewed confidence, the album captures a band continuing to challenge themselves while staying true to the qualities that have earned them such a fiercely loyal following.
Frontman Rick Witter says: "We have taken great care in making this album what we believe to be our best yet, and we hope these songs are taken to people's hearts."
Introduced by the lead single "Stand Together"a track Witter describes as "a rallying cry for unity"the album feels less like a victory lap and more like the beginning of an exciting new chapter. Their most ambitious record to date, it sees Shed Seven pushing further creatively, emotionally and musically than ever before. Bold, expansive and full of belief, it is a confident statement of where the band are today and where they are heading next.
