Jamal is a Polish raggamuffin, reggae, and dancehall band from Radom, formed in 1999 as a duo by Łukasz Borowiecki and Tomasz Mioduszewski. Initially performing mainly in Polish as a hip hop band, they reformed in 2005 and released their debut album Rewolucje (2005) on EMI, which featured the single "Tubaka" and was nominated for Best Hip Hop / R&B Album of the Year at the Fryderyk Awards. Mioduszewski appeared in Molesta's 2006 music video for "Tak miało być", which charted on the Polish Radio's Szczecińska Lista Przebojów (SLiP) at number 31. Nicolas "Frenchman" Ribier joined from the Bass Medium Trinity project, contributing to their bilingual follow-up album Urban Discotheque (2008). They released the single "Defto" (2012) and the albums Miłość (2013) and 1994 (2017). Other notable singles include "Policeman" (2005) and "Peron" (2013).
