Spinetta Jade was an Argentine jazz-rock band led by Luis Alberto Spinetta during the final phase of his jazz-oriented musical period. Formed in 1980, the group featured various lineups, all centered around Spinetta and drummer Pomo Lorenzo, with keyboardists including Juan del Barrio, Leo Sujatovich, and Mono Fontana. Bassists included Pedro Aznar, Beto Satragni, Frank Ojstersek, César Franov, and Paul Dourge, while guitarist Lito Epumer joined the final lineup. The band performed alongside the 1980–1981 reunion of Spinetta’s earlier group Almendra. Spinetta Jade released four albums: Alma de Diamante (1980), Los Niños Que Escriben en el Cielo (1981), Bajo Belgrano (1983), and Madre en Años Luz (1984). Bajo Belgrano was ranked among the 100 best Argentine rock albums by Rolling Stone Argentina. Their songs "Maribel se durmió" and "Resumen porteño" are regarded as classics of Argentine rock.
