Katarzyna "Kasia" Kowalska, born on June 13, 1973, in Sulejówek, Poland, is a Polish rock singer-songwriter, composer, and producer. She began her professional music career in the early 1990s, performing with bands including Human, Fatum, and Talking Pictures. In 1994, she released her debut album, Gemini, which achieved multi-platinum status and established her as one of the leading Polish rock vocalists of the decade. The same year, Kowalska supported Bob Dylan during his concerts in Poland. She won the Grand Prix at the Sopot Festival in 1995. In 1996, Kowalska represented Poland at the Eurovision Song Contest with "Chcę znać swój grzech...", finishing 15th. Her subsequent albums include Czekając na... (1996), Pełna obaw (1998), 5 (2000), Antidotum (2002), Samotna w wielkim mieście (2004), Antepenultimate (2008), and AYA (2018). She won the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Polish Artist in 2001 and was awarded the Silver Medal for Merit to Culture – Gloria Artis in 2025. In 2025, she collaborated with IKARVS and ZORZA on the single "TO CO DOBRE DNB".
