Uwe Busse is a German Schlager singer, songwriter, and producer born September 1, 1960, in Wuppertal, Germany. He began his career behind the scenes as a composer and lyricist for Die Flippers from 1985 to 2005, contributing to hits such as “Die rote Sonne von Barbados” and “Lotosblume”. His early credits included “Mama Lorraine” for G. G. Anderson, as well as compositions for Roland Kaiser. After releasing a single under the pseudonym Peter Tobias in 1985, Busse achieved his breakthrough as a solo performer with the album Nimm Dir Zeit zum Träumen in 1989. In 2003, he resumed his solo career with the album Ich habe einen Traum, followed by Kleine Sommersünden (2004), Jetzt erst recht (2005), Herzgeflüster (2006), Zärtlicher Tyrann (2009), Schlaflos (2011), Gelebte Träume (2013), and Applaus für dich (2014). Busse wrote over 700 songs for artists such as Klubbb3, Kathy Kelly, Mireille Mathieu, Frans Bauer, and Laura Wilde, and received the Goldene Stimmgabel award in 2003.
