Permanent Me was an American pop punk band from Bellmore, New York. The group formed in 2001 while its members were still in high school, initially under various names including "The Madison Chase," "Crown Victorian," and "Yes, Virginia." They gained early traction through online promotion on platforms like MySpace. In 2006, after signing to independent label I Surrender Records, they released their first EP, Dear Virginia. The band then signed with Island Def Jam and released their debut full-length album, After the Room Clears, in early 2007. Following the release of this album, bassist Justin Morrell was replaced by Mike's cousin Arthur Fleischmann. However, both Mike and Arthur left the band later that year. In March 2008, Permanent Me disbanded.
