Heidi Berry is a British-American singer-songwriter born on December 8, 1958, in Boston. She achieved professional recognition for a musical career characterized by folk-rock and dream pop and for her association with the label 4AD. Berry achieved professional recognition for a career that began after her demo tape was delivered to the label Creation Records in 1985. Her recording career began with the debut mini-album Firefly (1987) and the studio recording Below the Waves (1989). She achieved professional recognition for contributing guest vocals to the song "Til I Gain Control Again" (1991) by the ensemble This Mortal Coil.
