Jonny L, born Jon Lisners in November 1970, is a British producer and DJ known for his work in drum and bass, jungle, and UK garage. He first gained attention in 1992 with the rave hit "Hurt You So" before signing to XL Recordings. After moving into drum and bass, he released the albums Sawtooth (1997), featuring the single "Piper," which reached number 80 on the UK charts, and Magnetic (1998). In 1999, Lisners founded Piranha Records and later released music on labels including Metalheadz, Hospital Records, and Spearhead Records. As one half of True Steppers, he co-wrote and produced the UK Top 10 hits "Buggin" and "Out of Your Mind", featuring Dane Bowers and Victoria Beckham. Recording under the alias Mr L, he has continued to release electronic music, including the single "Oh Yeah" (2008), and launched his own label, 23:22, in 2015.
