Scissors for Lefty, an indie rock band based in San Francisco, California, was formed in 2000 by members who met while attending college in San Luis Obispo. The band's first release was the Mama Your Boys Will Find A Home EP in 2006, followed by their debut album, Bruno, the same year. Their second full-length album, Underhanded Romance, was also released in 2006 by Rough Trade. Scissors for Lefty gained significant exposure when radio station Live 105 chose them to play the main stage at their BFD 2007 festival alongside notable acts such as Bloc Party and Queens of the Stone Age. The band has toured with various artists including Arctic Monkeys and The Smashing Pumpkins. Their third full-length album, Bangs & Lashes, was released in 2014.
