Real name Gaze Betty Marie Gaëlle Blanchy, singer Sega¨el hails from the Brûlé district of Saint-Denis de la Réunion, on Reunion Island (France). The daughter of musicians, her father a drummer and her mother a backing singer, she found her vocation early on, performing on stage from the age of six. After completing her studies, she turned to singing and recorded her first self-produced album, Mi Rèv (2012), including the hit "Plèr pa frinka", which launched her career at the age of 21. In 2009, Sega¨el released her second album Frisson Séga on the KDM Family label, featuring the track "Jaloux", which consolidated her status as the new voice of sega. On stage, the singer is surrounded by a group called Sakouyaz. Back in 2014 with the album Mon Ker I Koz, she multiplied hit singles like "Travay pou gagné" (2018), "Retrouve à ou" (2020), "Trakass pa pou moin" (2023), "Bénédiction" (2024) and "Si seulement" (2025). In 2026, Sega¨el scored another hit with the track "Kontan", which reached No. 42 in the Top 60 Outre-Mer.
