LaToya Lacole Rodriguez was born July 22, 1983 in St. Louis, Missouri, and is an American R&B singer. After completing her education at Mary Institute and St. Louis Country Day School, she signed with Hit City Music Group, where producers Courtney Benson and Tony Davis secured her a deal with Arista Records under L.A. Reid. In 2001, she released the single "I Do!!", which peaked at number 16 on the US Billboard Hot 100; the track propelled her self-titled debut album Toya to the Billboard 200 that same year. The follow-up single "No Matta What (Party All Night)" appeared in 2002. After a brief period of activity, Rodriguez withdrew from the public eye but announced in 2011 and 2013 her intention to return to recording.
