zZz is a Dutch rock band from Amsterdam, founded in 2000 by vocalist and drummer Björn Ottenheim and organist Daan Schinkel, whose eclectic use of church organs and electronic effects forged the band’s distinctive sound. Their debut album, Sound of zZz, was released in 2005, featuring the single “Ecstasy”—which appeared in the film Phileine zegt sorry and the television series Skins—and the track “La La La”, which gained placement in the series CSI. In 2008, the duo issued the album Running with the Beast, with the single “Grip” featured in a Fiat advertisement. Other soundtrack appearances include the song “O.F.G.” in the video game Driver: Parallel Lines and the song “Soul” in the video game Driver: San Francisco (2011). Subsequent releases include the album Juggernaut (2015) and the album こんにちは Guten Tag Money Money (2025). The band also performed at the Sziget Festival in 2010.
