Phunk Junkeez is an American rap rock band from Phoenix, Arizona, formed in 1991. The group's original lineup consisted of the vocalists Joe Valiente and Kirk Reznik. The members gained local popularity by playing at illegal warehouse raves and clubs, leading to the release of their self-titled debut studio album, Phunk Junkeez, in 1992. After signing with Trauma Records and Interscope Records, they released their second studio album, Injected (1995), which featured the single “I Love It Loud”. The song peaked at number 38 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 (and reached number 88 on the Australian charts) and was featured on the Tommy Boy soundtrack. The band toured with acts such as No Doubt, Bush, and Faith No More. In 1994, Reznik was removed from the band. Their subsequent releases include the studio albums Fear of a Wack Planet (1998), Sex, Drugs and Rap N' Roll (2001), Rock It Science (2003), and Hydro Phonic (2007).
