Inge Brück

Inge Brück was a German singer and actress who was born in Mannheim, Gau Baden, Germany, in 1936. She achieved early professional recognition in 1956 performing at the Deutsches Jazzfestival. Brück is famous for representing Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest 1967 and for starring in the television series Miss Molly Mill. She began her career with the Erwin Lehn Dance Orchestra and gained momentum after appearing on the television show of Hans-Joachim Kulenkampff. Her first major success was the single "Peter, komm heut' abend zum Hafen" (1957), which reached number 7 on the German charts. In 1966, she won the International Song Festival in Rio de Janeiro with the track "Frag den Wind". Brück represented Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest (1967) with the song "Anouschka", finishing in 8th place. In 1970, she starred in the 13-part series Miss Molly Mill and released its eponymous theme song as a single. From the 1970s, she focused on religious music and co-founded the initiative Künstler für Christus. Her discography includes the studio recordings Das Studium der Weiber ist schwer (1965), Ich glaube an das Wunder (1975), and Ich bin der Weg (1980). Brück died in 2025.
