Itona is the new alias from James Vine, aka ENiGMA Dubz - a creative departure from his signature bass-heavy sound.
After initially launching the Itona project in 2020 due to the global lock down, then taking a hiatus to focus on his main alias, relentless touring and a growing roster of artists on his label Morii Records, 2025 is the year Itona is relaunched on the new sub-label - Morii Chill. 2026 is taking this journey further still.
Fulfilling James’ creative need to craft stunning electronic sonic palettes, Itona gives the musical polymath scope to escape into a realm of soundscapes outside the ENiGMA Dubz universe.
In response to an increasingly challenging and fractious world , James creates inspired, ethereal and authentic electronic music to help himself and others escape, but still providing a deep and thought provoking outlet.
From lofi and downtempo electronica, to chill house and chillwave - Itona’s music takes you on a dream-like journey as you float in a bubble of bliss.
Itona is all about human emotion and electronic music that makes you feel, decompress and unwind.
Support from Complex, Kiss FM & BBC Introducing has quickly came about - alongside editorial support from major music platforms and remixes from Late June, Rosehip and PALLADIAN.
