The Young Novelists, a Canadian folk-roots band, were formed in Toronto, Ontario in August 2009. The group gained recognition with their early releases such as A Small Town Eulogy (2011), Live at Dublin St. Church (2011), and In the Year You Were Born (2012). In 2015, the band released Made us Strangers, which won the Canadian Folk Music Award for New/Emerging Artist and remained for nine weeks on the Top 10 Folk/Roots/Blues !earshot radio charts in Canada. The band has also performed at various festivals including Summerfolk and Falcon Ridge Folk Festival.
