Isabel Varell is a German singer, actress, and musical performer born as Isabel Wehrmann on July 31, 1961, in Kempen. She achieved professional recognition for a musical career characterized by pop and schlager and for winning the Goldene Europa award for best new singer in 1984. Varell achieved professional recognition for a career that began after she performed at a talent contest at age 13 and placed third in a Radio Luxembourg competition in 1980. Her recording career began after the producer Jack White signed her to the label Ariola in 1981 and released the debut single "Ich kämpf um dich". The artist achieved professional recognition for the debut studio recording Baby Rock'n'Roll (1983) and her appearance on the television program Wetten, dass..?. Their discography included the song "Verträumt" (1984) and the song "Melodie d'amour" (1990) which reached 6th place in the German pre-selection for the Eurovision Song Contest.
