For Squirrels was an American alternative rock and grunge ensemble formed in 1992 in Gainesville, Florida. The original lineup included Jack Vigliatura IV, Bill White, Travis Tooke, and Jay Russell. Jack Griego replaced Russell as the drummer in 1993. The group released the studio recording Baypath Rd and the Plymouth EP in 1994. After signing with 550 Music, the ensemble recorded the album Example with producer Nick Launay. The recording featured the single “Mighty K.C.”, which reached number 15 on the Billboard Alternative Airplay chart. Following a vehicle accident in September 1995, surviving members Tooke and Griego performed under the pseudonym Revlover before adopting the name Subrosa in 1996. Subrosa released the recording Never Bet the Devil Your Head in 1997 and became inactive in 2001. Vigliatura and White died in the 1995 accident.
