Ralf "Bummi" Bursy, born on January 18, 1956, in East Berlin, was a German singer known for his contributions to pop and rock music. He gained initial recognition as part of the hard rock band Regenbogen (Rainbow) in 1977. His breakthrough came in 1978 with the song "Du machst mich verliebt" under the National Youth Festival band of the GDR. Bursy embarked on a solo career after leaving Prinzip in July 1986, releasing albums such as Wind im Gesicht, which sold over 100,000 copies in the GDR. He later worked as a producer for artists like Nena and Veronika Fischer. Bursy died on February 14, 2022, at the age of 66.
