Imperial Age is a symphonic metal band founded in Moscow in 2012 by Alexander “Aor” Osipov and Jane “Corn” Odintsova. Following the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, the founders relocated to the United Kingdom. The group released its debut studio album Turn the Sun Off! on November 20, 2012, which led to a headline tour in Russia and opening slots for Epica and Therion. In 2016, the EP Warrior Race was issued through Adulruna Records. The band followed with the concept album The Legacy of Atlantis on February 1, 2018, which featured collaborations with Therion members and was supported by a 59-concert European tour. The group expanded its live reputation with the online concert Live on Earth: The Online Lockdown Concert on April 25, 2020, and released the album New World on August 27, 2022. Notable singles from this period include “The Way is the Aim”, released on March 18, 2022, and “Legend of the Free”. Lineup changes introduced new permanent members such as Italian drummer Manuele Di Ascenzo. The group continued touring, culminating in the live album Live in London (2025) and a 20-date European tour in the spring of 2025.
