Johannes Sigmond, known professionally as Blaudzun, was born on October 26, 1974 in Arnhem, Netherlands, and is a Dutch singer. After years of performing with various bands, he launched his solo career in 2006, signing with V2 Records Benelux in 2007 and issuing his self‑titled album in 2008. He released Seadrift Soundmachine in 2010 and Heavy Flowers in 2012, which earned the Dutch Public Broadcasting Award for Best Album of the Year 2012. He won an Edison Award for Best Male Artist and an award for Best Alternative Act at 3FM. Subsequent releases include Promises of No Man's Land (2014), Jupiter Part I (2016), and Jupiter Part II (2017).
