Poledo was a Canadian alternative rock and noise rock group formed in Thornhill, Ontario, in 1994, consisting of vocalist and bassist Joshua Malinsky, vocalist and guitarist Mitch Roth, and drummer Dave Capogna. Their debut independent cassette, Buzz Muffin (1994), introduced their loud, distorted sound, followed by Let Up before they signed with Sonic Unyon. In 1995, the group released the full-length album There, You, which featured the track "Just Don't Care". In 1996, they issued the split single "Lunar Landing Confirmed" with Hayden on Squirtgun Records. Both releases charted on Canada's campus radio charts in 1996, and the band toured as far west as Vancouver. In March 1997, they recorded demos that later appeared on The Poledo Demos (1998). The band disbanded in December 1997, performing a final show in Toronto on January 25, 1998, after which Malinsky and Roth joined Hayden's touring band.
