Lea Birringer, born November 23, 1986 in Quierschied, Germany, is a German classical violinist. She began studying the violin at age three with Christa Schmitt-Rink and became a junior student at the Hochschule für Musik Saar at age nine. Her solo debut occurred at age 14 with the Berliner Symphoniker, and her international career grew after she won the International Johannes Brahms Competition in 2008. She has performed with orchestras such as the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie and Münchner Symphoniker, and has appeared at venues including the Musikverein in Vienna and the Louvre in Paris. As a chamber musician, she collaborated with her sister, pianist Esther Birringer, winning the Premio Vittorio Gui in 2011. Her recorded works on the Rubicon Classics label include Lifelines (2018), Di Tanti Palpiti (2019), Transformation (2021), and Mendelssohn / Sinding: Violin Concertos (2022).
