Isaac Elías Sánchez Camilo, (Santo Domingo; July 2, 1992) known as MECAL, is an artist and producer of Hip Hop music in the Dominican Republic, also one of the main and new exponents of Rap consciousness, also called conscious hip hop, social, analytical and reflective music. His beginnings in music began in 2008, after exactly in 2015 he began to appear in several of the most important media and press in the country and at the end of the same year he appeared at the international festival called: Quisqueya sin borders, later in the 2017 would participate for the first time in a battle written by the international battle platform: Blood Bars, the same platform would take him to Colombia in 2018 for another battle, thus being his first presentation outside of his native Dominican Republic.
