Kang Jin‑pil, known professionally as P-Type, born on December 16, 1979, in Seoul, is a South Korean rapper known for his rapping based on solid rhymes. He released his debut studio album Heavy Bass in 2004, followed by The Vintage in 2008. After a five-year hiatus, he released his third studio album, Rap, in 2013, followed by his fourth album, Street Poetry, in 2015. In 2015, he entered the mainstream spotlight by competing on Show Me the Money 4. He released the single "Birdman" in 2015 and later appeared again on Show Me the Money 6 in 2017. He also appeared on TV Chosun's Taste of Wife.
