Hailing from the lonely provinces of rural Hampshire in the UK, London based singer-songwriter Kamran Ramsden's music presents a unique take on modern indie-pop. Fusing infectious guitar energy with neo-soul vocals, pulsating beats and a pioneering spirit, he combines influences from across the musical spectrum to serve as a basis for his poetically-charged songwriting.
After first being drawn towards the guitar at age 10 whilst watching an episode of Drake and Josh, Ramsden’s musical journey started with his father’s old CD collection of Led Zeppelin, Oasis and Queen greatest hits albums. As a perpetual outsider and unbridled dreamer, his musical taste quickly developed beyond the rigid labels of genre he saw around him - expanding his influences into indie rock (The Strokes and Kings of Leon) singer/songwriter (Jeff Buckley, Bob Dylan and Nick Drake) and hip-hop/RnB (Kanye West and Frank Ocean), as well as the classic alt-pop heroes of the 20th Century (Prince and David Bowie).
Joining his first band when he was 14, he began writing original songs and soon became hooked. Now a solo singer, songwriter and producer, his musical ambition is to bring his many disparate influences together to communicate a message of love and unity that resonates with those who choose to accept their individuality and embrace their identity outside of the mainstream.
