The Outside Track is a Pan Celtic group formed in 2005 by five members from Scotland, Ireland, and Nova Scotia, Canada, featuring traditional instruments such as the fiddle, accordion, bagpipe, and piano. Their debut album The Outside Track was released in 2007 under BedSpring Music. The group gained international recognition through their Christmas tours, performing a mix of traditional ballads, original compositions, and arrangements. Notable albums include Curious Things Given Wings (2010), Flash Company (2012), which won the German Radio Critics' Prize, and Rise Up (2018). The Outside Track has performed at major festivals such as Celtic Connections and the Rheingau Musik Festival. The group has also received numerous awards, including the Tradition in Review Award and Live Ireland Music Award for Best Group in 2012.
