Los Piratas, a Spanish rock band from Vigo, Galicia, was formed in the late 1980s by Iván Ferreiro and Paco Serén. The group initially consisted of members from various local bands, with Ferreiro as the lead vocalist. Their debut album, Quiero hacerte Gritar, released in 1993, marked their breakthrough into the music scene. The band's early work was characterized by a pop-rock sound with psychedelic and blues influences. In 1995, they released Poligamia, which featured collaborations with Mikel Erentxun and Diego Vasallo of Duncan Dhu. Their subsequent album, Manual para los fieles (1997), showcased a more complex sound with electronic and folk elements. The band's evolution continued with Ultrasonica in 2001, which incorporated influences from Radiohead and Oasis, achieving gold status with over 50,000 sales. The group disbanded in 2004 after releasing their final album, Relax.
