A classically trained pianist, Guillaume Masson has made a name for himself with his interpretations of animated film themes. After graduating from the Conservatoire d'Orléans in 2003, he continued his musical studies in Tours, then Paris. Admitted to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris in 2005, he studied with Georges Pludermacher and Michel Béroff, before embarking on a career as a soloist and composer. In 2019, he released the album Piano Transcriptions, featuring themes from animated film soundtracks, followed by the EP Chopin Live (2021). In 2024, he collaborated with cellist Emmanuel Boulanger on the EP Piano and Cello Transcriptions and with the violist on the album L'Alto Lyrique. The following year, the Diggers Factory label released the album Music from Ghibli Movies - Piano in the Sky, which reached number 160 on the SNEP physical sales chart.
