Sunny Day Sets Fire was an indie psychedelic pop quintet formed in London in 2005 by Italian‑born Mauro Remiddi and Hong Kong‑born Onyee Lo, who met while working at an art‑house cinema in Chelsea. The duo expanded with guitarist Max Zoccheddu, bassist Ed Howat and drummer Matthew Parker, releasing the single "Wilderness" in 2007. The band signed to Iamsound and issued the Stranger Remix EP in 2007, followed by their debut album Summer Palace. The single "Adrenaline" was named “single of the week” on BBC 6 Music. The group toured the UK and US, received positive reviews from NME, Uncut, Clash, Pitchfork, and Drowned in Sound, and had "Lack of View" featured on the film American Teen. The band disbanded in 2009, after which Mauro Remiddi pursued a solo career as Porcelain Raft, Matthew Parker worked on Piano Rach, and Max Zoccheddu joined Diagrams.
