Alex Boyé, born on August 16, 1970, in London, England, is a British-American singer. Raised in Tottenham in foster homes, Boyé was influenced by African-American artists like Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye. He began his music career as a backup dancer for George Michael before forming the European boy band Awesome in 1995. The group released three singles from their debut album Rumors, achieving top-10 chart success across Europe. Boyé left Awesome in 1999 to pursue a solo career, releasing his first religious album, The Love Goes On, in 2001. He joined the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in 2006 and continued his solo work, collaborating with The Piano Guys on their cover of "Paradise" in 2012. Boyé gained significant recognition for his Africanized tribal version of "Let It Go" from Frozen, which went viral in early 2014.
